Move N' Groove asked her...
How do you incorporate movement into your everyday life?
I love a morning stretching routine! It is a great way to wake up your body and get the blood pumping! During the work week I go to the gym 3 times a week and one day over the weekend. Walking my dog Sullivan keeps me moving as well; he is one high energy dog that needs lots of movement, too!
Who is your favorite mover of all time, and why?
My favorite mover would have to be Carmen Reiss, who held my hand through my first few years of collegiate powerlifting. Her attitude towards women in the gym was so welcoming and I felt right at home with her as one of my coaches.
What legacy do you hope to leave behind for the next generation of movers?
I've never thought of this, but I'd like to shed some light on the time and dedication it takes to make it to the gym after working a 9-5 job. Gyms are usually packed at that time and that can intimidate folks to make an effort to start! No matter the circumstances keep your motivation and consistency, and you'll see results not physically but also mentally :)
What are some staple clothing pieces in your closet that assist you on your movement journey?
My staple bottoms are Alphalete or Amazon leggings. (don't knock em' till you try em'). For tops I like a nice big T-shirts, or a tank/crop top on some days.
Kaley is one strong athlete, and it has been a pleasure sharing her joy with our MNG family!
